Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a safe and effective method of healing that has been used for thousands of years in East Asia and more recently, worldwide. It involves the painless insertion of thin, single-use sterile needles into specific locations on the body, helping to unlock your body’s potential to heal. Our Acupuncturists are all Nationally Board Certified and graduates from accredited Acupuncture schools with Master's Degrees in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
Integrative Medicine
Valerie Stephens, MD offers her services as a practitioner of Integrative Medicine at Thrive Acupuncture and Wellness. Integrative Medicine, according to Andrew Weil, MD, is the “intelligent combination of conventional and alternative medicine.” It aims to restore the focus of medicine on health and healing, emphasizing “whole person medicine” looking at all aspects of lifestyle and acknowledging we are more than just bodies. Practitioners of Integrative Medicine will also source other aspects of complementary and alternative medicines in their recommendations for their clients.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbs have been used safely and medicinally in Eastern medicine for over 2,000 years. They have minimal side effects, and when carefully combined and balanced by a certified herbologist, such as Greg, Michaela, Dylan & Aubrey, will treat the main concerns of our patients, but also address secondary problems. Herbs can be prescribed to help with pain conditions, digestive disorders, infertility and menstrual disorders, insomnia, viral illness and more. Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs work synergistically to energetically reprogram and rebalance the body’s systems and functions.
Yoga
Small, intimate yoga classes are available with Monique Mueller as a series or drop-in basis.
Qi Gong
Qi Gong is a form of gentle exercise focused on cultivating “qi” while relaxing the body, synchronizing the breath, movement and visualization, and building flexibility, vitality and strength. When practiced regularly, Qi Gong can have amazing benefits for the overall health of the body, mind and spirit. Greg Carder emphasizes utilizing a Qi Gong practice to maintain health and heal from chronic illness.
Greg Carder has been a student of Qi Gong since 2007, and a practitioner and teacher of Qi Gong since 2015. He has focused his studies on the lineage of Hun-Yuen Qi Gong, studying with Master Wang Feng-Ming as well as many other practitioners.
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture & MicroNeedling
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a gentle, effective, and safe way to combat the signs of aging and erase years from your face without the risk or downtime of surgery or injections. Acupuncture offers many benefits to those who want to revitalize the look and feel of their skin. It builds collagen, tones muscle, improves circulation, and stimulates blood flow with no risk of scars, infections, rashes, or toxic build-up of chemicals.
Microneedling effectively treats fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, improves skin texture and color and dramatically enhances effectiveness of skincare products. Visible results begin on the first day and continue for weeks afterward. As collagen levels continue to build up, your skin becomes more luminous and complexion more even.
